As an Experienced Linkedin-er, here is what I have to say:
Linkedin IS THE Platform for the ‘Luxury Brands’ To Perform! No doubt about this.
Been on this platform since 2008 and am able to observe that it keeps EVOLVING; Linkedin has never been ‘static’. This platform, on the contrary, has been quite dynamic. New features are continiuously added towards creating better and better user/member experience.
A few years back, ‘Linkedin Opinion Leaders’ used to claim that this platform is designed for and works for B2B deals & opportunities, “Do not tire yourself by running after B2C potentials".
This is totally invalid NOW! See it yourself.
A connection, the founder and CEO of Patiswiss Chocolates was around, for many months, introducing her edible products to the members/connections in a self descriptive B2C fashion.
The other day, she shared, not a surprise to me, how she penetrated the market by shelving her products at renown retail chains. And how she grew at a fast pace and even received rewards certifying her adorable success. Patiswiss Handmade Chocolates Elif Aslı Yıldız

Well, I can confidently declare now that Linkedin is NOT only the platform for B2B but a very decent and trustworthy platform for B2C.
My take on the luxury brands demand that I ask them a direct question, right now:

How come you ‘gals n guys’ are NOT doing much here on Linkedin except that many of you have your Linkedin Pages (Neatly done) respectively
@Porsche is the MOST VALUABLE luxury brand, currently in the market, and has been regularly posting here on Linkedin. I witnessed this in my stream.
